In the US as a whole, there are currently more than 400 National Park units, including monuments, seashores, lakeshores, recreation areas and historic sites. Collectively, they cover a land mass roughly the size of Germany. Many of those are difficult to visit though for most (incl. within the US, due to distance, remoteness etc), so good news: ‘National Parks Adventure’ a new IMAX 3D documentary narrated by Robert Redford is scheduled for global release on 12 February.
