PARKS has a call For Expression Of Interest (EOI) to submit Case Studies to s Special Issue Of PARKS on ‘Other Effective Area-Based Conservation Measures’. In the context of the work of the IUCN WCPA Task Force on Other Effective Area-based Conservation Measures (OECMs), a special issue of PARKS containing case studies of potential OECMs will be published in advance of the 22nd meeting of the Convention on Biological Diversity’s Subsidiary Body on Science, Technology and Technological Advice (July 2017). Each case study will be of a potential OECM using the draft IUCN Guidelines on Recognising and Reporting OECMs (NB: while the areas should be ‘likely’ OECMs when considered against the criteria, you are not expected to give a categorical answer about the area’s status).
