IUCN CEESP (Commission on Environmental, Economic and Social Policy) and The Communities Conservation Network are organising this conference in Halifax on 28-30 May 2018:
The CEESP Specialist Group on Religion, Spirituality, Environmental Conservation and Climate Justice (ReSpECC) is planning a session on the Governance of Sacred Landscapes: 21st Century challenges of maintaining the natural sanctity of place. The whole conference is geared towards giving communities and custodians a space for their voices to be heard. It is being planned the panel to consist primarily of sacred landscape guardians.
