A young film maker who originated from the village of Vovoussa in Eastern Zagori, Erirus, NW Greece (Northern Pindos National Park) made a film about the sacred forest of her village. The film has just been released, it has English subtitles and it will be available for few days in the Thessaloniki festival web page (for free, but you should register)
This sacred forest is one of the best preserved in the broader area because of strong taboos still alive. It presents how local beliefs related to the sacred forests and folk religion is still alive.
Background information about this forest is also e.g. available in an article by Kalliopi Stara and Rigas Tsiakiris.
