What is Parks Journal?
Parks, The International Journal on Protected Areas and Conservation. PARKS – in short – is a peer reviewed scientific journal of the World Commission of Protected Areas (WCPA). CSVPA is a Specialist group under the WCPA and its member’s make regular contributions to the PARKS. In addition, Bas Verschuuren, one of CSVPA’s Co-Chairs serves on its editorial board. You can contact Bas if you have any ideas for or questions about a potential contribution to PARKS.
Why Publish in Parks?
PARKS is the ideal place for you to consider publishing an article related to the cultural and spiritual values of protected areas and conservation. There is ample space for social sciences and articles that take interdisciplinary approaches to conservation.
PARKS supports authors
The journal has an active group of editors. Sue Stolton and Nigel Dudley succeeded by Marc Hockings are supported by several co-editors that will work with people from all around the world including those who need some extra attention with English language or publishing in an academic journal. This way many interesting stories and experiences become part of the scientific literature on protected areas and conservation.
